City Mosaic, co-founded by Evan Plotkin and John Simpson, is a non-profit organization with a mission to support, promote, and grow the visual art community in downtown Springfield, Massachusetts. City Mosaic’s objective is to continue to bring art to downtown Springfield using a variety of local talent including artist John Simpson, his UMass students, and his team of local artists. City Mosaic has been part of bringing art and culture to the City over the last decade, including the recent Worthington Street Mural and Restoration project at Stearns Square and other completed and planned mural projects and initiatives downtown.

Evan Plotkin, John Simpson, Susan Riano, and Madden Sterrett of Springfield’s City Mosaic share the story of what can be found in the new Springfield mural, and what it means to have this work on display for the community to enjoy.
