A diverse background in all aspects of real estate which includes negotiating real estate transactions in over 125 US markets and 5 continents internationally. Demetrios is a dynamic leader and offers extensive experience in portfolio planning, process improvement, transactional management and financial analysis. Demetrios has had proven success in strategic planning and identifying cost savings. As Assistant Vice President of Agency Real Estate with Mass Mutual Financial Group, a Fortune 100 financial services firm with $25 billion in annual revenues, Demetrios established cost effective project execution through outsourcing all national vendors for design/architectural, construction management, brokerage, moving and branding saving millions in annual real estate expense. He was responsible for over 85 core locations in the country’s top markets and supported an additional 300 secondary locations. Demetrios established site selection criteria, supervised all lease negotiation as well as project execution from design, construction to move. Demetrios repositioned the entire Mass Mutual portfolio while developing and delivering the "workplace of the future" for all Mass Mutual sales offices nationwide.
 
Demetrios is experienced in office, residential, retail, and resort development with 11 million square feet of property management and 1 million acres of resort development in Florida and the Bahamas. He was involved with local, state, and federal permitting as well as environmental assessment, remediation, and facility compliance. Demetrios supervised economic analysis, business assumptions and strategic plans supporting the acquisition/disposition of real estate in alignment with overall company goals and objectives which included construction and facilities management, lease negotiations and administration.
 
As Chairperson of the Springfield Parking Authority since 2006, Demetrios has negotiated and supervised the integration of all off-street and on-street parking operations. At the request of the City, he has also assumed towing operations reducing significant costs in duplication of management and streamlining operations. Demetrios, has restructured the Authority’s fiscal management by imposing strict accounting and audit practices while re-negotiating municipal bonds.  Additionally, Demetrios has co-chaired the efforts to establish a new branding campaign for the City of Springfield in partnership with the Springfield Economic Development Office.
