NAI Plotkin real estate moves offices to MassLive Building in downtown Springfield
SPRINGFIELD — Real estate firm NAI Plotkin will move into the MassLive Building downtown office tower it manages, according to a news release issued Thursday.
NAI Plotkin, a third-generation family business, will occupy 5,884 square feet on the 14th floor.
NAI Plotkin sold the building where it is currently located, the former Duryea building at 41-43 Taylor St., to dentist Dr. David I. Peck in 2014. Peck renovated the upper floors into a new home for his dental practice, now called Taylor Street Dental.
At the MassLive Building, the space is currently being renovated to best suit the contemporary property management team, company President Evan Plotkin said.
He continued in a prepared statement:
"As we continue to grow our business in and around the Springfield market, we needed to put down roots in a new space that will grow with us. We're excited to start this new chapter of our company's history."
NAI Plotkin has sold, leased and managed commercial real estate throughout Western Massachusetts for more than 50 years, according to the news release.
At 230 feet tall and with 17 floors, the MassLive Building is the fifth tallest building in Springfield. It was built in 1983. The building is headquarters for MassLive.
The MassLive building is known for its first, third and ninth floor galleries, which use art to activate the space, according to the release.
NAI Plotkin spokeswoman Jenn Kiley said the move should be completed by Aug. 15. NAI Plotkin is moving 25 employees.
